Babycakes

My goodness gracious, I have been so absent from blog world as of late. Mainly due to the fact that I didn't really have much to say & I'm staying at my mom's while David is on business, therefore I don't have much access to a running computer.

Buuuuuut, I do have something to share today!

I'm pretty excited about today simply because I'm going to try out some new baking recipes from the Babycakes cookbook. I've had this cookbook for a long while now and have even frequented the LA Bakery (David took me there for my birthday last year for the first time and I've been hooked ever since), but I have yet to make the recipes myself.

I found out about Babycakes through working at Anthro (where I got the cookbook) and in the vegan diet world. All of their treats are completely vegan, gluten-free and mostly sugar-free on top of being sooo delicious (albeit pretty pricey).

My favorite treats are the chocolate chip cookie sandwiches, the double chocolate cupcakes, lemon poppy seed bread & the carrot cupcakes, all of which are in the cookbook, with the exception of the double chocolate cupcakes (there are regular chocolate cupcakes in the cookbook).

I'm also really excited about the new cookbook that's coming out called "Babycakes Covers the Classics". If you're ever in the downtown LA area (or in NYC for that matter), you really need to stop by at the bakery and try (or stock up on) these delicious treats that are probably the healthiest treat alternative you can find out there.

I also just found out that they make birthday cakes (and deliver) which would be a delicious gift for my birthday, but it might be a little late for that. I should have hinted at it a week ago... maybe next year.

Diana: You should try some of their recipes. I made the banana bread and the apple cinnamon toastie and it was incredible!

Kacie: You should totally get one for your birthday!

Erin: I made the lemon poppy seed teacake first and it was a fail, but I persevered and made the cinnamon toastie and banana bread, both turned out AMAZING.

Brittany: Thanks so much! I'm so happy you love my blog. And you should definitely check out all things Babycakes!

Brooklyn: No prob missy!
